88/365 Self Portrait

I didn't get to take Linc's picture today. Angie and I went to see the movie Paul and it was super fun! Lincoln had his 9 month check up today! He is 16 lbs and 13 oz and 27 in tall. What a little turd! Anywho here is a picture of yours truly:

85 & 86/365 Here and There Baby

Grammy was pulling Lincoln around in his wagon today. I don't think he knew what to think about it:

Last night we went to Rick's Boatyard for George's 30th birthday party. That place is way to expensive for what you get, but we still had a good time.

Here is Linc with Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma was whispering secrets in his ear.

This is me trying to get a good picture of Mechelle and George. George kept getting all squinty-eyed, so I told him to open his eyes wider and this is what I got:

Then this:

We settled on this one:

84/365 I See You Baby

So, a lot of people think that video monitors are a gimmick, but we broke down and got one and I love it! I have a really hard time listening to him fuss at night when he's trying to get back to sleep and it makes me feel better being able to see him and know that he isn't stuck in the bars of his crib or something.

I never knew watching someone sleep could be so entertaining!

83/365 Playing with Daddy

Lincoln loves his daddy!

82/365 Gettin' Around Baby

Lincoln has really taken off with his new walker toy! Just a few days ago he was falling flat on his face as soon as it would roll forward. Now, he is pushing it like a champ!

It is so funny to be a parent. Your child does something that babies have been doing since the cavemen first started popping out kids, but when it is your kid it is about the most amazing thing you ever saw and in your mind your child is a super genius.

Seriously, I'm wondering why he hasn't been considered for a Nobel Prize yet.

81/365 Watching the Wind Baby

Today was such a pretty day, but it sure was windy! Lincoln loved watching the trees sway back and forth.

79/365 Into the Woods Baby

Grant, Linc and I headed out to Eagle Creek again after work today. We briefly attempted the stroller but Linc started fussing immediately and then Grant accidently dropped the water bottle on his head and he really began to bawl so we decided just to carry him. By the way, he stopped the crying as soon as he was out of the stroller, so I don't think the bottle really hurt him. However, I swear if the child could, he would call CPS and tell them about us.

We had just planned on walking anyway, so the stroller wasn't really needed. Grant and I took turns carrying him on the trail and we all had a really good time.

We sat him down in the path and discovered that he is either completely over his fear of the ground or that fear is reserved for when there is grass present:

Just hanging out:

78/365 & 79/365 Getting Caught Up

Here is our picture for today. Linc woke up at 7 AM and then we took a nice 2 hour nap around 10. Then we had to get ready for Mason's birthday party. It was at a bouncy place up in Fishers and we had a really good time, but it was pretty long and we didn't get home until Linc's bedtime. So we fed him a quick dinner so that we could get bathed, nursed, and into bed.

He was so tired, poor guy:

As promised, here are the pictures from yesterday.

We were hanging out at the Nolan's all day yesterday and there was a coyote (we named him Odie) hanging out in their backyard:

After Odie took off, we decided to try to introduce Linc to grass again. Though he seemed unsure, he seemed ok with it for the first few seconds:

However, it turned into this rather quickly:
Daddy had to sit on the grass with him for awhile to show that it was safe:

He started to warm up to it a bit:

He was trying to eat nature in no time flat!

I'm Tired

We were up bright and early today and instead of sitting around the house we went to Target and then over to hang out with George and Clayton.

We had a really fun day! We played an awesome board game called Blurt!

I did take a lot of pictures today, but I'm really tired and don't feel like working on them tonight so they will be posted tomorrow!

77/365 Exercise Ball Baby

Not a lot of time for pictures today. I got home from work, changed and then headed out the door to have dinner with the fam. I took a quick shot of Linc pushing the exercise ball around. He loves it!

76/365 Fitness Baby

The weather was so awesome today that Lincoln insisted we all pack up and head to Eagle Creek to get some exercise.

He was extremely excited to try out his new jogging stroller:

Always remember to hydrate:

OK, so here is how this actually went down. Linc is not a stroller kind of guy. He just doesn't tolerate being strapped into the thing for very long. So we jogged about 1/3 of the trail and then he started throwing a fit so Angie got him out (I would have left him, mean mommy that I am). Luckily we also brought his wrap carrier. So I strapped him on and started to power walk with him since jogging was now out for me. We did that for a little and ended up putting him back in the stroller for the last third.

Next time the little dude is definitely staying in the stroller!

75/365 St. Patrick's Day Baby

So, I had a plan for Linc's St. Patrick's Day picture and what we ended up getting definitely was not the plan. I wanted to do a set up like the Valentine's Day picture. Mom made him awesome shamrock baby legs and I was going to get him one of those silly shamrock wobbly headband things.

Well first off, we couldn't find the darn wood flooring paper. Oh well, we'll just take it on the carpet. We get Lincoln in the car and Grant forgot to grab the camera so he had to run back in the house. He comes back out and it is off we go! We get to George's house get everything in and, guess what, no camera! I don't know what he did when he ran in the house to get the camera, but he forgot to bring it back out! (he doesn't remember) LOL

So I have to drive all the way back to get it. By the time I got back the light in the house wasn't great and the weather was so nice outside so we headed into the backyard. I was just going to snap a few pictures of him crawling around on the ground, but man, did he hate that idea! As soon as George set him in the grass he started bawling. He did not like the feel of the grass.

So Grant grabs him and puts him in the tree:

(I don't think I need to tell you that Grant was holding on to him the whole time)

74/365 Black Eye Baby

Oh, mom and Lincoln are two of a kind! They decided they needed to have matching black eyes! Linc fell and hit his face on his fire truck today.

I also love this picture b/c I was waving at him to try to get him to look at the camera and he decided to show off his skills and wave back:

And I'm still plugging away at getting Brynn's pictures done:

This one cracks me up:

Look at my big boy climbing those stairs like a pro! He is pure awesome folks!

Still working on pretty little Brynn:

72/365 Blah Blah Sunday

Today was kind of a blah day in terms of taking pictures. I have been trying to finish Brynn's pictures. I snapped a quick one though:

A couple more of Miss Brynn:

71/365 Baby Brynn

Linc slept late today and I hated to, but I had to wake him up b/c we had to go to the post office to get his passport application turned in. Here he is just snoozing away:

Then I headed over to Betsy's house to take pictures of baby Brynn. These are the only two that I have done b/c Grant and I went out for a date night tonight

She's so beautiful:

70/365 Ready to Travel Baby

We tackled the passport photo again today. We sat him on the couch with a white poster board behind him and put a puff in his mouth. This is the very first picture I took and the only one that he actually sat and looked at me.

Now we just have to go in the morning to turn in the application!

69/365 Napping Baby

Mom and I went to the Whale of a Sale right after work today and we had SO much fun! When I got home from work I only had time to nurse Linc and change clothes before we were out the door. He was taking a nap when I got home so I snapped a quick pic of him.

68/365 Failed Passport Photo

This was so not a great picture taking day. I felt very blah and cranky and was hating every picture I took. I have to get a passport picture b/c I need to get Linc's passport so he will have it in time for Mexico.

What a joke! How am I supposed to get my very busy 8 month old to sit still in front of a white background, staring at the camera, without his hands in his mouth, no smile, and mouth closed?

He wanted no part of it:

He enjoyed playing with his toys though:

This is my fav. He was laughing at Angie.

67/365 The Crib Revisited

There wasn't a whole lot of time for pictures today. After Linc and I got home I nursed him and then I had to go the grocery store. Linc was completely out of baby food. So Lincoln stayed with Grammy while I went Krogering. Ugh, I hate going to the store after work. It seems to take forever, even if you are just running in for a few things. By the time I got home it was Linc's bedtime. So he ate a quick meal, took a bath, put on his jammies, nursed and then into the crib he went:

I love this one because he is giving me a big smile and you can see all four of his teeth!

You know, it's funny. Linc isn't really a chunky baby, but he has quite the double chin!
